Taxi driver found dead in vehicle at Kotwi-Nkoransa as police launch investigation

A 35-year-old taxi driver, identified as Kwabena Awuah, popularly known as "Asawado," has been found dead in his taxi after he was allegedly attacked by unknown assailants at Kotwi-Nkoransa in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region.

The deceased was discovered in his taxi, bearing registration number AW 2458-20, in an incident believed to have occurred around midnight.

According to information gathered, Kwabena Awuah reportedly had a misunderstanding with his wife at about 8:00 p.m. on the night of the incident. Despite the disagreement, he later informed people around 11:00 p.m. that he was heading out to work as a taxi driver.

However, the following morning, residents were shocked to learn that he had been found dead inside his vehicle under circumstances that remain unclear.

Police officers from the Brofoyedru Police Command responded to the scene and conveyed the body to the mortuary for preservation and autopsy. Investigators have since begun inquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing and identify those responsible.

The motive behind the attack is yet to be determined, and no arrests have been announced.

Police are urging anyone with information that could assist the investigation to come forward as efforts continue to bring the perpetrators to justice.
