
Development advocacy group, Alagumgube has been honoured with a prestigious Cultural Recognition Award in recognition of its exceptional contributions to cultural preservation, community development, and the promotion of Gurune heritage.
To celebrate the achievement, stakeholders of the Association gathered on Tuesday at the Association's office to officially receive the award, which was presented during a recent cultural festival.
The event brought together key members and stakeholders, including the African Executive Chairman, Mr. Richard Abanga Ayamdoo; Board Member and Traditional Leader, Naba Ayinbila Yarigabisi; the Association's Public Relations Officer, Madam Paulina Adrabre; renowned author and cultural advocate, Mr. Akaribuga Issaac; Nafisah Akonbange Allassan; and Mr. Aloysius Atibila, among others.
As part of the ceremony, Mr. Aloysius Atibila formally handed over the award to the African Executive Chairman, Mr. Richard Abanga Ayamdoo, in the presence of stakeholders. The symbolic presentation highlighted the collective efforts and dedication of members across the Association's various chapters in advancing its vision and mission.
Speaking after receiving the award, Mr. Ayamdoo expressed profound gratitude to members, supporters, and stakeholders whose unwavering commitment made the recognition possible. He noted that the award serves as a testament to the Association's hard work in safeguarding cultural values and promoting community development.
He further emphasized the need for unity, cultural promotion, and selfless service, urging members to remain committed to the Association's objectives and continue working together to preserve the rich Gurune heritage for future generations.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for stakeholders to reflect on the Association's achievements over the years and reaffirm their commitment to strengthening cultural identity, empowering communities, and fostering solidarity among members.
Participants described the award as a significant milestone for the Association and a motivation to intensify efforts toward cultural advocacy and community development.
The ceremony concluded with expressions of appreciation to all contributors and a renewed determination among members to build a stronger, more vibrant, and impactful Alagumgube Association.
