NPP Communication Resetting Under Boakye Agyarko

The NPP communication prior the 2016 general elections was formidable and their communicators were irresistible. The NPP conquered the media space in Ghana and the airwaves were aways filled with the aroma of NPP vibes. How sweet their message was in Ghanaians’ ears.

Days in government soon became like weathering in the arctic, the ice of NPP sweet message that ran through the spine of Ghanaians quickly melted away. Fate and flaws in government became a knife that cut through the very things that held NPP communication together. The center could no longer hold till the party's humiliating defeat in 2024.

One man wants to reset the party's communication machinery. He sees it as a calling to lead the NPP in these challenging times of the party and communication is one of the strong pillars he would build the party on. Honorable Boakye Agyarko has three structures to put in place to reset the party communication. Under his leadership as chairman, he will lead his team at the national headquarters to build the following structures from national to the polling station.

First, communicators would be selected from national to the polling stations across the country and they will work directly under the Communication Directorate. These selected individuals would lead party communicators nationwide, both volunteers and delegated ones on all media platforms including social media.

Second, training and retraining would be organized for all party communicators including party enthusiasts who dedicate their social media platforms to communicate for the party. The party Communication Directorate and the Patriotic Institute would form a special collaborative relationship to achieve this through a special vehicle to get all communicators on the same page. As part of the training, party researchers would always share their notes with communicators to help them put evidence-based information before Ghanaians. The Ghanaian electorate will always make an informed decision when Honorable Boakye Agyarko becomes chairman of NPP.

Third, party Communication Directorate would be resourced to function effectively. The era when party communicators find it difficult to find resources to fund trips to media houses would be over. Party researchers would be aided and receive funding for all research work they do for the party. Party supporters who dedicate their social media platforms to promote party communication will receive support to boost their digital campaigns.

To cap the three pillars of communication resetting agenda, Honorable Boakye Agyarko will use his long political experience and his relationship in the media circles to rebirth the collaborative relationship between the NPP and the key stakeholders in the media space of our country.

Among many things Honorable Boakye Agyarko wants to do to make the NPP a stronger vehicle to carry the presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on, is to reset the party's communication from day one into office as the national chairman. In Boakye Agyarko is the spirit of a true patriot that set goals and strive to achieve them.
