Parts of Accra West have experienced a disruption in power supply following a cable fault at Korle Bu Zongo Junction, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has confirmed.
The disruption has affected several communities, including Abossey Okai Anglican Church, parts of Kaneshie, Zongo Junction, Town Council Lane, Kaneshie Anglican, Takoradi Station, Kaneshie Orange Market, Kaneshie Secondary, Majosda, Zabon Zongo and adjoining areas.
In a statement issued on Friday, April 17, ECG said the outage is due to a technical fault on its distribution network at Korle Bu Zongo Junction.
The company assured residents that engineers have been deployed to the site and are working to restore power supply.
“The outage being experienced is as a result of a cable fault at Korle Bu Zongo Junction,” ECG stated.
ECG further appealed for calm, adding that efforts are underway to resolve the issue and restore electricity to affected areas as soon as possible.
