President Mahama hosts business leaders at Kwahu Business Forum dinner

Selected Ghanaian business leaders attending the 2026 Kwahu Business Forum will attend an exclusive dinner with President John Dramani Mahama as part of activities marking the opening day of the forum.

The dinner, scheduled for the newly constructed Kwahu Convention Centre at Mpraeso in the Eastern Region, is expected to bring together the President and key figures from the private sector for discussions on business development and investment opportunities.

The engagement will provide a platform for the President to outline the Government's economic policies and highlight strategic initiatives aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and private sector growth, including the Kwahu Business Forum.

Participants are also expected to share perspectives on improving the investment climate and strengthening collaboration between government and the business community.

The evening event will feature musical performances by Ghanaian artistes Stonebwoy and Kwabena Kwabena, who will entertain guests during the dinner.

The three-day Kwahu Business Forum begins on Friday, April 3, with more than 1,000 participants expected to attend. The forum seeks to provide a platform for entrepreneurs to interact with potential investors and explore opportunities for business expansion.

Activities for the 2026 edition include networking sessions for small, medium and large enterprises, investor matchmaking engagements, and a trade exhibition for companies to showcase their products and services.

Friday's programme will feature the official opening ceremony, a tour of the exhibition centre and high-level panel discussions involving government officials and industry players.

Selected business leaders from the Kwahu area will also share their experiences and offer insights to young entrepreneurs on building sustainable businesses.

The day will further include masterclasses on various business topics before concluding with the presidential dinner.

On Saturday, industry leaders will deliver keynote addresses with President Mahama in attendance.

The Governor of the Bank of Ghana is also expected to deliver a special address on the state of the economy and engage with business leaders.

The forum will conclude with a health walk at the Kwahu Business Village, where participants will undertake a 1,000-step exercise.

Leaders of banking institutions will later hold closed-door discussions with the Bank of Ghana on economic issues.
