President's Travels By His Brother's Private Jet; Ghanaians Must Know The Arrangement Between The Sate And Mr Ibrahim Mahama!!!

I have made it clear that I have absolutely nothing against Mr Ibrahim Mahama, the brother of HE John Dramani Mahama acquiring private jets. Indeed, I'm on record to have commended him for putting his first private Jet at the disposal of all Ghanaians as an emergency air ambulance.

However, there is something going on which I believe is completely wrong, and totally disrespectful to Ghanaians: President Mahama, as we speak, embarks on official foreign trips aboard his brother's private Jet, with absolutely no attempt to, formerly tell Ghanaians modalities involved.

For example, is the cost being borne by Ghanaian taxpayers or is it completely free? Are there any other charges, like fuel, landing charges et al being changed the taxpayer? Then comes the issue of security: how is the president protected physically, and in case of insurance if there's a mishap?

What President John Mahama is doing, vis-a-vis, travels by his brother's private Jet without telling the good people of Ghana, exactly what the arrangements are between the State of Ghana, and service being rendered by Mr Ibrahim Mahama, to say the least, is hellaciously discombobulating.

I would therefore urge Hon Alban S.K. Bagbin, the Speaker of Parliament, Hon Julius Debrah, the Chief of Staff, and relevant Security Chiefs, to, as a matter of urgency, demand, on behalf of the good people of Ghana, answers to these very critical questions, for Felix Kwakye Ofosu to come and inform the citizens.

The office of the president is not a private office, for issues surrounding it to be managed as though it is a family issue. The Presidency is the family house for all Ghanaians; the occupant, the president, is under obligation to let the family (Ghanaians), know what's happening. Ghana must know!!!

Others were accused of "friends and family" and those that, vociferously, trumpted that allegations over the rooftops, should not be seen engaged in same activity. Consistency, for ages, has become a rare commodity in our democratic enterprise, and it is about time we duly changed course for the best.
