Kwadaso MP cuts sod for major TVET infrastructure project in constituency

The Member of Parliament for Kwadaso Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Kingsley Nyarko, has led a delegation of key stakeholders to break ground for a transformative infrastructure project aimed at strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the municipality.

The sod-cutting ceremony, held at the Business Secretariat and Training Institute at North Asuoyeboah, brought together officials of the Municipal Assembly, Assembly Members, and heads of educational institutions in a demonstration of unity and shared commitment to educational advancement.

The project, facilitated through the Office of the MP, will see the construction of a modern three-storey, six-unit, two-bedroom staff flat and a three-bedroom bungalow for the Headmaster.

The initiative is designed to address persistent accommodation challenges facing staff, improve institutional management, and create a more conducive teaching and learning environment.

The intervention marks a decisive step toward resolving longstanding infrastructure deficits at the institution and reinforces the strategic role of vocational and technical education in driving youth empowerment and local economic development.

Speaking to journalists ahead of parliamentary engagements, Prof. Nyarko expressed appreciation to the Minister for Education and Member of Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu, for his swift and constructive response to requests for urgent educational support.

He described the project as a critical investment that will significantly ease pressure on existing facilities and enhance academic delivery.

Prof. Nyarko stressed that governance is a continuous process and should remain focused on improving the lives of citizens irrespective of political transitions. He noted that sustainable development is achieved when successive administrations build upon existing foundations for the common good.

Reaffirming his commitment to the people of Kwadaso, the MP pledged to deepen collaboration with the Municipal Chief Executive and the Assembly to deliver more people-centred projects across the constituency.

He also drew attention to the pressing need for a modern dining hall for the institution and assured stakeholders of his determination to work with relevant authorities to secure the facility and further boost student welfare.
