Chairman Lawyer Charles Owusu Juanah, Chief Operating Officer Barbara Makara, national executives and a delegation from the Friends of Bawumia 2008 Foundation representing various regions paid a courtesy call on the 2028 NPP Flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, to formally congratulate him on his decisive victory in the recent primaries.
Introducing the delegation, Lawyer Juanah went beyond offering congratulations and delivered a strong message of commitment. He reaffirmed the group’s maximum support as preparations begin toward the 2028 General Elections.
“The FoB’08 family is resolute,” the Chairman declared. “We are ready to fight alongside you once again, working with the same diligence and passion that has defined us for nearly two decades, until we see you sworn in at the Jubilee House.”
Responding to the delegation, Dr Bawumia described the group not as mere supporters but as family. He recalled the foundation’s first meeting in 2008, when he sat with its founding members to discuss a shared vision for Ghana.
“FoB’08 holds a special place in my heart,” Dr Bawumia said, noting that the bond was forged in August 2008 when he was first nominated as a Running Mate.
He commended the group’s consistency and dedication, describing FoB’08 as a dependable pillar through successive election cycles in 2012, 2016, 2020, 2024 and now 2028.
“Every constituency I visit, I see the FoB’08 shirts. I see your faces. You have been with me every step of the way,” he stated, assuring members that their commitment and sacrifices have not gone unnoticed and will continue to be valued as the campaign progresses.
Dr Bawumia also congratulated the new Chairman, Lawyer Charles Owusu Juanah, expressing confidence in his leadership and assuring members of the foundation’s full recognition and integration into the 2028 campaign structure.
The meeting ended on a note of renewed determination, with members leaving energised and united around a common purpose, reaffirming that FoB’08 remains a movement grounded in history and focused on the future.
