Prophet Emmanuel Worlasi has claimed that former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has been spiritually ordained for leadership, drawing parallels between him and the biblical figure Cyrus.
He also asserted that the internal contest within the National Democratic Congress remains unresolved in the spiritual realm.
The Lead Pastor of Conquerors Chapel International in Kumasi, widely known for his prophetic declarations on national political developments, rose to prominence following his predictions ahead of the 2024 general elections and the New Patriotic Party presidential primaries. His firm pronouncements, particularly regarding Dr Bawumia’s victory in the NPP race, drew both admiration and criticism from sections of the public and clergy.
Speaking on GhanaWeb, Prophet Worlasi said he repeatedly received visions pointing to Dr Bawumia’s triumph in the NPP presidential primaries. He described the outcome as divinely sealed and beyond alteration.
According to him, although an earlier revelation showed massive public support for Kennedy Agyapong, a subsequent vision indicated that voters would ultimately change their choice in secrecy at the ballot box. He said the revelation came to him several times, including during a trip outside Ghana, reinforcing his confidence to publicly predict the result despite doubts from critics.
The prophet disclosed that he later informed Dr Bawumia that God intended to use him in a manner similar to Cyrus, who, though not a worshipper of God, was divinely chosen to accomplish a national assignment.
“God is not concerned about religious background,” he said. “He is concerned about the heart.”
He urged citizens to look beyond religious identity when assessing leadership, arguing that divine purpose, rather than faith affiliation, determines who is chosen.
Turning to the opposition, Prophet Worlasi stated that NDC General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia, known as General Mosquito, is currently ahead in the spiritual dimension of the party’s internal contest. However, he maintained that the outcome is not yet settled.
“One person is leading, but it is not confirmed,” he said, explaining that certain spiritual outcomes remain conditional and can shift through prayer and divine intervention.
He distinguished between events that are permanently sealed by God and those that remain open to change, adding that prophets have the ability to intercede under specific circumstances.
Prophet Worlasi maintained that political outcomes are first determined in the spiritual realm before they materialise physically. He described the spiritual realm as the true battleground where elections are decided.
“If you can take charge in the spiritual realm, you can take charge in the physical world,” he said.
He concluded by stressing that the unfolding political season should serve as a reminder that ultimate authority rests with God. According to him, both political leaders and prophets must operate with humility, prayer and obedience, as the final direction of national affairs lies in divine hands.

Ghanaians are sick and tired of your false prophecies. Which God are you talking about? Because the God of Yahweh or Abraham will never elect a vice president who couldn't build the common toilets he couldn't build as a leader. Who will vote for Bawumia? Forget it, I believe in God, but that invincible spirit will never elect this chronic liar to be a leader.
