That said, as the Christmas celebrations draw near, dear critical reader, here's some yuletide food for thought to chew on during the holiday period: It strikes one that if the billionaire titans who own the biggest tech companies, were all like Yvon Chouinard - the extraordinary and amazing founder of the outdoor clothing and accessories behemoth, Patagonia, which he has made the planet Earth it's beneficiary shareholder, in a trust - they would ensure that their companies paid their fair share of taxes in markets worldwide; treat their workforces well globally and ensure that whenever their productivity levels rise to record levels and lead to stellar profits, they share in that bounty too as a matter of routine; contribute massively to the preservation of the remainder of humanity's natural heritage, and make broadband Internet access free globally, for all underprivileged societal demographics lacking the wherewithal to pay for data bundles costing the earth, and, above all, be proud of such common-weal-focused servant leadership!

They most certainly wouldn't label that noble C-suite operational culture - making for a more sane and just world full of happy communities coexisting peacefully - as spineless DEI leadership!
