The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced that all recruitment centres opened in Accra for the ongoing body screening exercise have been closed, except the one at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.
The military has therefore directed all potential recruits yet to undergo body selection and documentation to report to the El-Wak Sports Stadium.
“All recruitment centres in Accra for the 2025/2026 exercise will be closed from today, Monday, 24 November 2025, except El-Wak Sports Stadium.
“All potential recruits yet to undergo documentation and body selection should report to El-Wak Sports Stadium for their documentation and body selection,” GAF said in a social media update on Monday, November 24.
This development follows the creation of multiple centres for the Greater Accra military recruitment exercise after the deadly stampede that occurred on Wednesday, November 13.
The stampede at the El-Wak Stadium claimed six lives and left several prospective recruits injured on the first day of the exercise.
In a statement issued on Monday, November 17, GAF said all qualified applicants would receive text messages directing them to specific dates, batches and designated centres for their screening.
The military added that screening would take place at eight sub-centres across five locations as part of new measures to ensure a smoother and safer process.
