Alhaji Habib Iddrisu's Lasting Legacy And Resilience Warrants In-Depth Analysis

The Member of Parliament for the good people of Tolon Constituency in the Northern Region, Hon. Alhaji Habib Iddrisu, deserves accolades and recognition.

Since he entered the August House as a legislator for Tolon Constituency in 2020, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance.

He has delivered satisfactorily well, despite being in his first term as a Parliamentarian and now in his second term, as the representative of the people who entrusted him with power.

Hon. Alhaji Habib Iddrisu, affectionately called Soyalana, has earned his reputation through hard work, resilience, and a commitment to making a lasting impact.

He didn't come empty to serve but he showcased unmatched leadership prowess of service through the projects he initiated and implemented before he was voted as a Member of Parliament.

Factually, Hon. Alhaji Habib Iddrisu connected several communities in the Tolon Constituency to the National grid and started other projects before he became the people's favorite and representative.

This is something many of his colleagues couldn't do before they were voted, but Hon. Soyalana demonstrated the can-do spirit by delivering as a Parliamentary candidate for the NPP.

This stupendous dedication and passion to serve gave him the nod to represent his people, who also believed in his capacity to handle matters of great concern to them.

He came prepared to serve, showcasing impressive leadership skills through his initiatives and projects implemented before he was elected a Member of Parliament.

These achievements, which many of his colleagues couldn't accomplish before their election, underscore Hon. Soyalana's results-driven approach as a Member of Parliament.

His outstanding dedication and passion for service secured his position as the representative of his people, who trusted his ability to tackle their pressing issues.

As a first-time MP, Alhaji Habib Iddrisu was part of the NPP leadership in the 8th Parliament, holding the position of Deputy Majority Chief Whip.

He proved to be a valuable addition, demonstrating his capacity as a rapid learner with a firm understanding of parliamentary standing orders.

Through parliamentary proceedings, Hon. Habib Iddrisu continued to showcase his grasp of the standing orders and other parliamentary responsibilities as a member of the leadership.

This has made him a great addition to the Party's leadership in Parliament where he has a compelling composure concerning Parliamentary duties.

For emphasis and clarity, Soyalana is among the best performing MPs across the Country, not limited to the Northern Region of Ghana, in our Fourth Republican political dispensation.

As a political activist and ardent card-bearing member of the NPP, I have carefully studied and observed the performance of our MPs in the Northern Region.

In all honesty, Hon Habib Iddrisu is a connected political figure and lawmaker who has much influence within and outside the political divide.

He's an embodiment of a leader with vision coupled with the mindset of empowering the young ones to be useful and relevant in their respective communities.

He's simply phenomenal when it comes to youth empowerment and nurturing the young with so much to offer through job opportunities offered as a Member of Parliament.

His track record in job opportunities being provided to his constituents and outside is significantly immeasurable, and this has made him the youth favorite.

With what I have highlighted above about the outstanding performance of Hon. Habib Iddrisu, he was given the nod again to return to Parliament in the 2024 Parliamentary election in Tolon Constituency.

In the 9th Parliament, Hon. Habib Iddrisu was selected as the First Deputy Minority Chief Whip to continue his unraveled performance for the NPP and Ghana as a whole.

To be sincere and not to sound biased with this piece on the above-stated subject matter, the people's Habib has an undeniable lasting impact in the areas of human capital development, physical infrastructure development, and the display of smart leadership.

He has set a great legacy for himself and others in the political landscape through his resilience, genuine devotion, and commitment to work as an MP.

For the first time in the Tolon Constituency, many of the youth are in the police, immigration, Fire service, local government Agency, the Military, and other services.

Similarly, Tolon can boast of an Astro turf, a Radio station, improved road networks, a community center, the Soyalana Educational Fund, and other relevant developmental projects.

Given the above, one can't help but eulogize and give credit to Hon. Habib Iddrisu for the fast pace of development and lasting impact in the Tolon Constituency.

Lately, what has caught my attention has to do with the malice and ill-mannered way in which some self-acclaimed journalists within Tamale want to denigrate the hard-earned reputation of Hon. Habib Iddrisu.

These pay-as-you-go presenters and journalists on the NDC's side have been on him to the neglect of their incompetent and non-performing MPs, particularly within the four Constituencies in Tamale and Sagnarigu.

Unfortunately, some of the NDC footsoldiers also joined this unintelligent argument of trying all means to drag the name of Hon. Habib Iddrisu on social media, where some of them can't express themselves properly in the Queen's language.

In all these, what's so glaring and disheartening has to do with the kind of people engaged in these backward and primitive thoughts simply because he's from the NPP and outperformed their MPs who have spent so many years without the required results.

It's evident that Hon. Habib Iddrisu's approach to leadership hinges on real service to the people and making an impact to propel them to greater heights.

To the pay-as-you journalists and NDC footsoldiers, it's important for them to spend their time and energies on how to help their underperforming MPs in the Northern Region and leave Hon. Habib Iddrisu to continue his duties to the people and Ghana at large.

In summary, agree or disagree, the member of Parliament for the good people of Tolon Constituency deserves praise for the exemplary leadership he has exhibited within the shortest possible time of being the people's representative.

He is a great role model for the youth, and this should send a signal to this group of people to reflect and think deeply about their diabolical and skewed agenda to tarnish his image.

He has come to stay for the phenomenal and nonpareil performance as a development-oriented leader with vision and direction to take Tolon Constituency to greater heights.
