Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, has announced that the report on investigations into the August 6 helicopter crash is ready for release.
Mr Kwakye-Ofosu, who is also the spokesperson for President John Mahama, said the report will be made available to the public at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11.
This follows a social media post on Monday, November 10, in which he said the committee tasked with the probe had presented its findings at a National Security Council meeting earlier the same day.
“The Acting Minister for Defence has led the Committee that investigated the August 6 helicopter crash to present their report and findings to the President.
“The presentation was made at a meeting of the National Security Council. The report will be released to the public tomorrow, Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.,” he wrote.
The investigation was commissioned to determine the cause of the deadly crash that claimed the lives of all eight people on board, including two cabinet ministers, while en route to Obuasi to launch a responsible mining program.
