CPP concludes nationwide rebuilding, fact-finding mission

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has successfully concluded its National Rebuilding and Fact-Finding Mission, held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

The exercise, organized under the leadership of the Chairman of the Reorganization Committee, Comrade Moses Yirimambo Ambing, marks the first of its kind in the Fourth Republic.

The National Rebuilding and Fact-Finding team comprised Comrade Moses Yirimambo Ambing, National Director of Elections Comrade Habib Yakubu, National Director of Communications Comrade Osei Kofi Acquah, and CPP UK representative Comrade David Nii Adjie.

According to Comrade Ambing, the mission aimed to identify the root causes of the CPP’s poor electoral performance over the years, explore ways to address those challenges, and gather grassroots input on how they believe the party should be managed moving forward.

The team visited all 16 regions of Ghana, beginning in the Savannah Region and concluding in the Greater Accra Region. During these engagements, party members were given the opportunity to freely express their frustrations, share their concerns, and present proposals on how to strengthen and reposition the CPP for future elections.

A key highlight of the mission was the interaction with some of the party’s founding members from both the First and Third Republics. These elders shared valuable insights and experiences on how the CPP was able to reorganize and achieve electoral success in the past.

The findings from the nationwide exercise are expected to form the foundation of a comprehensive roadmap to guide the CPP’s reorganization and rebranding efforts, with the ultimate goal of restoring the party’s strength and competitiveness on Ghana’s political landscape.

The committee is expected to submit a detailed report of its findings and recommendations to the leadership of the party in the coming days.
