The District Chief Executive for Offinso North, Hon. Caesar Ofosu Acheampong, has underscored the importance of early childhood education as a foundation for national development and human resource growth.
Speaking at a sod-cutting ceremony at Nkenkaasu to begin the construction of a two-unit kindergarten block, Hon. Ofosu Acheampong emphasized that education remains the driving force behind every successful nation, as it fosters enlightenment, skill development, and prosperity.
He noted that investing in early childhood education was crucial to preparing children adequately for primary and higher levels of learning, stressing that a strong foundation at the kindergarten stage determines the quality of education in later years.
The project, funded by the GETFund, is expected to be completed within the stipulated timeframe. The new kindergarten block will include a kitchen, sleeping room, and washrooms to enhance a comfortable learning environment for the pupils.
The chiefs and people of Nkenkaasu commended the DCE and the district assembly for their continued commitment to improving education in the area. They also pledged to support the contractor to ensure timely completion of the project.
