If Kennedy Agyapong is not selected as the NPP’s flagbearer, let him not be coerced into parading behind a campaign he doesn’t believe in. His credibility and authenticity are his strongest traits—and following a system that sidelined him would dilute both. He must chart his own quiet course, away from the campaign convoys, away from staged endorsements, and toward something deeper: legacy and principle.
Instead of carrying the burden of the entire party, let him selectively support a few loyal MPs and grassroots allies, helping them regain their seats on merit, not manipulation. Anything more would risk his own dignity and confuse the clear message he's stood for.
To the NPP Executives: Stop Chasing 2028—Start Rebuilding for 2032
The 2024 defeat was more than an election loss, it was a rupture of trust. The party does not need another four-year cycle of desperation and surface-level slogans. It needs soul-searching.
Let 2028 be a transitional phase, not a battlefield.
Here’s what must be done—honestly, humbly, urgently:
Rebuild the Grassroots, Brick by Brick. Not just posters and rallies—real conversations, town hall meetings, and community work. Go back to the people not to ask for votes—but to listen, apologize and serve.
Craft Policies with Depth, Not Just Packaging. Enough of lofty slogans. Build thoughtful, inclusive development programs rooted in real data and real Ghanaian realities. Invite civic groups, young professionals, women and rural voices into the policy design room. Let new chairpersons be members who are academically credible.
Heal the Internal Divisions. The cracks between north and south, Christian and Muslim, Kennedy and Bawumia factions must be mended, not managed. Hold a national reconciliation conference within the party. Not a press stunt—a safe space for truth-telling and healing.
Respect Those Who Feel Betrayed. People like Kennedy Agyapong represent a silent cry for reform. Honor him and others by inviting them to shape the party’s future direction, not pushing them to the fringe.
Be Patient. Prepare for 2032. Let the NDC take 2028, if that is what the moment requires. Use the time to clean house, deepen your roots and create a fresh, unified movement that doesn’t depend on emergency campaigns.
Sometimes, the most strategic move is to step back so you can leap forward. Kennedy must preserve the integrity he’s built; the NPP must re-earn the trust it’s lost.
2028 isn’t a prize to chase. It’s a mirror to stare into.
