The Appointments Committee of Parliament will begin vetting seven newly nominated Supreme Court Justices on Monday, June 16, 2025.
Acting under Article 144(2) of the 1992 Constitution, President Mahama on Wednesday, April 30, nominated seven Court of Appeal judges to the apex court.
A letter addressed to Acting Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie listed the nominees as Justice Sir Dennis Dominic Adjei, Justice Gbiel Simon Suurbaareh, Justice Senyo Dzamefe, Justice Kweku Tawiah Ackaah-Boafo, Justice Philip Bright Mensah, Justice Janapare Bartels-Kodwo, and Justice Hafisata Amaleboba.
In a notice, the committee announced that Justice Sir Dennis Dominic Adjei, Justice Gbiel Simon Suurbaareh, and Justice Senyo Dzamefe will be vetted on Monday.
On Tuesday, June 17, Justice Philip Bright Mensah and Justice Janapare Bartels-Kodwo will face the committee, with the remaining two nominees set to be vetted on Wednesday, June 18.
