Both Kennedy Agyapong and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia have strong ties to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and are qualified to lead Ghana. However, Kennedy Agyapong presents a more compelling choice for the party’s future.
Dr. Bawumia and President Nana Akufo-Addo’s eight-year economic struggles have left lasting wounds on the people, especially the youth. Bawumia, heavily involved in economic policies, will have to answer for the country’s financial downturn, including excessive borrowing and reliance on the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In contrast, Kennedy Agyapong, despite his outspoken and controversial nature, stands as a candidate who can restore hope and credibility to the NPP.
Why Kennedy Agyapong Should Lead NPP in 2028 and beyond.
Uncontrollable by Political Elites – Unlike others who can be manipulated, Kennedy Agyapong speaks openly against corruption, even within his own party. He is not afraid to hold leaders accountable.
Empathy for Citizens – Agyapong resonates with ordinary Ghanaians, especially business owners and traders, as a self-made leader who understands their struggles. His grassroots support makes him a stronger candidate.
Proven Business Acumen – He has built successful businesses, demonstrating his ability to create jobs and drive economic growth—a critical need for Ghana.
Bold & Fearless Leadership – His outspoken style makes him decisive, a contrast to those who hesitate to take action. He engages directly with young entrepreneurs, promoting self-reliance over political monetization.
Strong Media Presence – Unlike Bawumia, whose recent speeches have struggled to inspire confidence, Kennedy’s charisma and passionate public engagements make him relatable and influential.
Commitment to Economic Independence – Kennedy prioritizes industrialization and local production, reducing reliance on foreign imports and IMF loans.
Loyalty to NPP – Despite internal party conflicts, he remains deeply committed to the NPP, strengthening its credibility.
Future Recommendations for Kennedy Agyapong
- Fight Corruption – Make transparency a top priority and hold leaders accountable.
- Support Teachers – Ensure that teachers receive fair incentives, such as vehicle provisions to enhance their dignity. Every teacher must own a Toyota corolla. It is not bad to make teaching work decent because they deserve such necessity as the future of the country depends on a teacher’s selfless contribution.
- Avoid Insults – While passion is important, respectful dialogue strengthens credibility.
- Engage More with Media – Speak about Ghana’s development rather than engaging in party conflicts.
- Ignore Party Division – Stay focused on national progress, not unnecessary disputes.
- Learn from Political Mistakes – Understand past governance errors and refine your leadership strategies.
- Prioritize Education – Support the growth of quality universities for national development.
- Recognize Opponent Achievements – Credit good policies, even from political rivals, to show balanced leadership.
- Build Trust – Maintain honesty, competence and business-oriented governance to gain public confidence.
- Ghanaians are looking for a true, honest, competent, fearless and business oriented leader and you cannot fail this integrity.
Kennedy Agyapong has the vision, fearlessness, and integrity to lead Ghana into a more transparent and economically strong future. The NPP must make the right choice for 2028 and beyond.

During the hard times when import duties were unbearable in Nana Adoo-Bawumia governance, importers did not consult then vice Dr. Bawumia, they relied on Kennedy. This show clearly that the citizens of Ghana have confidence in and trust in Kennedy and that is the first sign in politics. Dr. Bawumia should rather support Kennedy as a brother. People without intellectual eyes should stop making Ken dirty. Ken is better choice now.
