Pres. Mahama’s 283 Page 24Hour Economy Document

Feature Article Pres. Mahama’s 283 Page 24Hour Economy Document
SUN, 08 JUN 2025

I read President Mahama’s 283 page document in the night, on my phone, and thought this was crazy! But I could not put it down after I started!

Please don’t get me wrong and think I am one of those educated from childhood to read fast! No! I am an Engineer by training and finished off with Social Science terminal degree; but I had to sweat and forced myself to read hundreds and thousands of pages and balanced the weakness in reading with a gift in writing!

I was very surprised that President Mahama and his team had actually had that much thought about making Ghana a better Place, and put all of these beautiful dissertation document (short of only academic references).

The document is honestly too good for any Political Party to dream of, save a Benevolent Dictatorial system and leadership to implement.

Already Mahama is known for his Managerial style of incomplete projects and we have a whole town of Saglemi and some Hospitals in town like Abetifi to cite.

The NPP also has a record of scattered vision, some of which are good visions that came to their leader in the middle of the night and ended up destroying many valuable real estate for a hole in the ground, after wasting an estimated $58 million!

Mahama’s 24Hour Dream is like the dreams of Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore some 60 years ago, except that Mahama has even put this dream in writing!

How could a nation where we cannot even seem to have the will to punish criminals or stop people destroying our water bodies ever think of doing what Lee Kuan Yee did! No!

My view is that the the Mahama-24Hour Document is for National debate and not for one party implementation! No!!

There is no way Mahama should have any public funds started on any of these till a major debate in Ghana!

The President should open it in Parliament and give the elected representatives a chance to study and critique and approve it as a National Development Vision and Plan. That way no one party can deviate from what the other started!

The President has a little less than 4 years to implement and milestones should be approved as to what can be done this term, and have the whole Parliament commit to a continuation even if another Party were to come in 2028.

This is my humble view,, but please skim through the document and at least try and understand the graphics. It is a good Vision for Ghana if both parties embrace it!

Trust me ai have seen a lot of them, some written 200 pages just to apply for World Bank loans! This is real! It is beautiful and both parties and Independent Aspirants for leadership should review and comment.
