A Senior Lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Dr. Collins Kankam Kwarteng, has urged Ghanaians to demand and follow politicians who have concrete plans for job creation.
According to the marketing expert, politicians should be judged on their ability to create jobs for the masses, rather than just rhetorics.
Speaking on OTEC 102.9 FM's morning show on Monday, 'Nyansapo', Dr. Kwarteng emphasised that creating jobs for youth requires a conscious effort and pragmatic solutions.
He called on successive governments to prioritise providing adequate jobs for the youth and create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
"Prior to the 2024 polls, I told the youth to follow candidates who will have pragmatic solutions to the high unemployment situation in the country," Dr. Kwarteng noted, highlighting the need for practical approaches to job creation.
"The government must create an enabling environment for businesses to help absorb more youth into the workforce, as this will go a long way in reducing unemployment and promoting economic growth," he added.
