President John Dramani Mahama is set to host Czech President Petr Pavel for a three-day State Visit to Ghana from April 8 to April 10, 2025.
This historic visit marks the first time a Czech leader has traveled to Ghana since diplomatic relations were first established with the former Czechoslovakia in 1959. It will also be the first State Visit President Mahama has hosted since returning to office in January 2025.
During his stay, President Pavel will hold high-level discussions with President Mahama, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new areas of cooperation.
He is also expected to address a business forum aimed at deepening trade and investment opportunities between Ghana and the Czech Republic. As part of his itinerary, President Pavel will officially commission a Czech-funded health facility, underscoring his country’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s healthcare sector.
Beyond diplomatic engagements, the Czech leader will visit notable Ghanaian landmarks, including Osu Castle and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, to gain insight into the country's rich history and heritage. To commemorate the visit, President Mahama will host a State Dinner in his honor, bringing together key government officials, business leaders, and diplomats.
The visit is expected to strengthen relations between Ghana and the Czech Republic, paving the way for enhanced economic, cultural, and political collaboration. Further developments will be shared as the visit progresses.
