Frequent power outages in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region have raised serious concerns among residents, disrupting businesses and daily activities.
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has attributed the instability to technical challenges at the Anwomaso Bulk Supply Point. Frustration continues to mount as residents struggle with the impact on their livelihoods and productivity.
In response, efforts are underway to resolve the issue. A high-capacity transformer has been installed at the supply point to enhance electricity distribution and meet the region’s growing demand.
Despite these measures, calls for a load-shedding timetable have intensified, with residents emphasizing the need for clear communication and planning to help businesses and households manage the disruptions more effectively.
