Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, also known as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, has been detained by the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) as authorities investigate allegations of identity fraud.
The controversy first came to light in 2023 when Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the current Foreign Affairs Minister and North Tongu MP, accused him of using multiple identities for questionable purposes.
“From unassailable and irreproachable documents in my possession, Rev. Victor Kusi-Boateng, AKA Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, uses multiple passports and multiple identification cards with different names and different dates of birth as his special modus operandi,” Ablakwa stated in a Facebook post.
He also alleged that Rev. Kusi Boateng, operating under the name Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, received GH¢2.6 million through JNS Talent Centre Ltd as part of the National Cathedral project. Ablakwa insisted that both names belonged to the same person, backing his claim with documents.
Despite these accusations, Rev. Kusi Boateng has continued to serve on the National Cathedral’s Executive Council.
In July 2024, his attempt to block Ablakwa from discussing his alleged involvement in the project was dismissed by the Human Rights Court.
While the full details of the case remain unclear, sources indicate that the investigation is focused on his alleged use of multiple identities and financial transactions linked to the National Cathedral.

They should rather prepare and go and defend themselves against Ofori Attah's defamation case at the High Court. What about the stomach fake pastors who have surrendered John Mahama and milking him?
