The Minority in Parliament has argued that the 2025 Budget Statement, presented by Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, validates the claim that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, led by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, left behind a strong and resilient economy.
According to Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, the budget serves as evidence that the economy was not in crisis when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration assumed office.
He pointed to the 5% GDP growth rate cited in the budget as proof that the NPP handed over a stable economy, countering the NDC’s earlier assertions of economic distress.
The Karaga MP and former Minister of Finance made these remarks while reacting to the budget statement presented to Parliament on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
