The Chiefs and people of Gomoa Awombrew in the Gomoa Central District have praised the Omanhene of the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area, Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI, for his strong commitment to development-oriented leadership.
Speaking at a grand durbar held over the weekend to climax their Annual Akwambo Festival, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. Isaac Taylor, highlighted the numerous contributions of Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI towards various self-help projects aimed at improving infrastructure in the community.
He noted that, with the support of the Omanhene, the community’s durbar grounds were nearing completion, emphasizing that Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI had made significant contributions to the project.
"The contribution of Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI to Gomoa Awombrew Community development is second to none. He constantly supports us in cash and kind. We are proud to have such a wonderful leader as our Omanhene.
"His leadership as the Omanhene of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area is unprecedented in history. In fact, he has proven to be a humble leader who seeks the well-being of the people in the communities under his jurisdiction.
"The youth will continue to pray for him in his endeavor to ensure quality lives for people in the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area and beyond," Mr. Isaac Taylor stated.
The Assembly Member for Gomoa Oguakrom Electoral Area, Hon. Isaac Ninson Assan, encouraged both the local youth and those living outside the community to contribute their share towards the development of their hometowns.
He also called on the Gomoa Central District Assembly to take urgent steps to provide social amenities, especially potable water and electricity, to underserved areas.
Additionally, Mr. Dickson Mensah, an educationist and Secretary to the Akwambo Planning Committee, advised the youth to prioritize education rather than engaging in substance abuse.
He cautioned, "Attain heights in education rather than engaging in drugs and alcohol, which could ruin your future career."
