
The body of an eleven-year-old boy, identified as Vincent, has been discovered in the Nwabi River at Kyerease, near Kronum in the Suame Municipal Assembly of the Ashanti Region.
The tragic incident, which occurred between the night of February 15 and the early hours of February 16, 2024, has left residents and family members in shock and grief.
According to the Assembly Member for Kyerease, Mrs. Joyce Osei Asibey, the discovery was brought to her attention by some residents who spotted the body in the river.
She immediately alerted the Afrancho police, who retrieved Vincent’s body and have since launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
The body has been sent to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital mortuary for further examination.
