“The Cathedral project was an utterly stupid and wasteful idea. Shocked that apparently sensible men and women supported it,” Franklin Cudjoe shared in a post on Facebook.
The Cathedral Project, an idea conceived by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo stalled before the 2024 general election after millions were spent on it.
With a change in government, it is unclear what will become of the project.
Meanwhile, the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng is investigating alleged corruption in the National Cathedral Project.
Former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta is a wanted suspect in four high-profile corruption investigations, including cases related to the National Cathedral project.
Addressing a press conference in Accra on Wednesday, February 12, Kissi Agyebeng urged the former Finance Minister to return to Ghana voluntarily or he will be forced to return.
