
Three people have been burnt to death after a Toyota Corolla vehicle collided with a tipper truck catching fire in the process on the Nakpanduri road in the Bunkprugu Nakpanduri District of the North East Region.
The incident which occurred on Wednesday night, January 28, 2025 also left one person in a critical condition.
According to eyewitnesses, the Toyota Corolla car veered off the road after hitting a bump and collided with the tipper truck that was parked on the side of the road.
Fire personnel were not around to douse the fire and rescue the victims because of their inactiveness
in the region for several months now.
By-standers efforts saved one person who is in critical condition and receiving treatment at a health facility but the three persons were burnt to death on the spot.
Sources suggest that two of the burnt victims were final year students of the Bimbago Senior High School.
The police have commenced investigations.
