
The Attorney-General has dropped all charges against Dr. Stephen Kwabena Opuni and Seidu Agongo.
State Attorney Ms. Enam Loh Mensah informed the Accra High Court, presided over by Justice Aboagye Tandoh, of the Attorney-General's directive to withdraw the charges.
She stated that a formal notice of withdrawal had been filed in line with these instructions.
Dr. Opuni and Mr. Agongo had been facing 27 charges, including defrauding by false pretenses, willfully causing financial loss to the State, money laundering, and corruption by a public officer, all in violation of the Public Procurement Act.
Both individuals had pleaded not guilty to the charges and were each granted self-recognizance bail of GH¢300,000.00.
