The lack of progress which you succumb to because of the inconveniences you encounter from a series of your wrong decisions is what I call - Cumulative Delay.
In The Art of War, Sun Tzu expressed that ‘many calculations’ guaranteed victory while “few calculations” guaranteed defeat.
By calculations, he meant the number and significance of things that you consider when making decisions.
People who consider several factors (issues) when making a decision get enlightened enough to connect several dots which make them see the bigger picture.
This ability to see the bigger picture enables them to easily come up with better decisions that have long term benefits.
On the contrary, those who are blinded by their ignorance or excitement tend to overlook important things, and thus make short-sighted decisions with several undesirable outcomes.
These undesirable outcomes take a lot of effort, time, money and other resources to fix them. They also delay your progress in life and make it difficult for you to accomplish your goals.
