Sanja Nanja, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the Atebubu/Amantin constituency in the Bono East Region retained the seat for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Parliamentary Elections.
Mr Nanja polled 25,758 votes, beating Mr Abu Issah Dimmie Baduon, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) who secured 18,977 votes in the elections.
The Progressive People's Party (PPP) PC, Mr Abraham Kwaku Henaa, also managed to get 299 votes, out of the 45,782 votes cast. There were 748 rejected votes.
