Nana Attah Banafo III, the Chief of Assin Andoe, has praised NDC Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama for his dedication to development, calling him a “true champion of progress.”
The chief highlighted Mahama’s record of advancing infrastructure and community welfare nationwide and appealed for similar projects in the Assin area, specifically a modern market.
Nana Banafo cited Mahama’s successful projects, such as the Kejetia Market in Kumasi and the Kotokuraba Market in Cape Coast, as examples of the kind of infrastructure he envisions for his community.
During the NDC campaign visit to Assin Andoe in the Assin South Constituency, he assured Mahama of available land for any projects that could promote economic growth and job creation, particularly for the youth.
In response, John Mahama pledged that Assin Andoe would benefit from the NDC’s Market Enhancement Programme, aimed at modernizing district markets nationwide.
He also emphasized his proposed “24-Hour Economy Policy,” which he said would create jobs and address high unemployment rates both in the Assin area and across Ghana.
