The NDC MPs threatened mayhem to rain in parliament on October 22, 2024 and promised a similar January 6, 2021 showdown on the floor of the house. So, they rushed into the floor to occupy the majority side, very ready to exchange blows and throw fists in the air. They were shamed fashionably whilst the whole nation watched.
They were shamed by their colleagues from NPP caucus. Indeed, the NPP MPs exhibited brainwork and maturity when they left the house as soon as they saw their seats occupied by the NDC minority. The mature reaction just saved the nation, known as the beacon of democracy in Africa from international ridicule. The fight in the Ghana parliament would have been told in all media houses worldwide alongside the news from conflict zones like Gaza, Lebanon and Ukraine.
Diaspora4DMB, a Diaspora Ghanaian support group for His Excellency Bawumia has joined majority of Ghanaians home and abroad to sing praises on the NPP MPs in parliament for their show of peace, maturity and masterpiece of brainwork. Indeed, the NPP MPs demonstrated maturity by choosing brains over blows.
The peace-loving reaction and respect for rule of law by the NPP MP’s ended peacefully .
Ghanaians will remember this on December 7, 2024 when they go to the polls to elect their MPs for the 9th parliament and their next president.
Diaspora4DMB has reaffirmed its commitment in travelling to Ghana to support their constituencies to wrap up the campaign in a grandstyle. Yes, your commitment in building the nation through bold solutions for future problems is an additional motivation to attract more Ghanaians in the diaspora into joining the grassroots to campaign for NPP.
Yes, it is possible to trade blows for brainwork and we shall continue to do so boldly to sell the bold solutions to the Ghanaian voters to win election 2024.
