John Mahama 2024 Campaign; Matters Arising

Exactly 4 years ago, I scribed an article titled "The second coming of John Mahama". In the article I indicated that there was some sort of disunity within the rank and file of the party and that could hinder the victory of Mahama in the 2020 election. Unlike the last election, I have observed quite a different posturing from NDC supporters across board. NDC wants victory so badly. As a result, people have set aside their differences at least for the time being, leading to a much stronger and coherent NDC. A united NDC is a most venomous opponent which can kill with just one bite.

I am particularly fascinated by the number of campaign teams around or individuals campaigning on their own to aid the victory of the NDC. In 2020 for instance, the National chairman and the General Secretary and the National Organiser of the NDC were often seen accompanying the John Mahama Campaign Team. I am not saying that was wrong. On the contrary, in 2024, all the National Executives are virtually running their campaigns independently of John Mahama's team. This is quite unique in the sense that it will spread the NDC campaign message to a wider audience.

Another observation I have made is that *the subcommittees of the campaign team such as the Gender Committee led by former Gender Minister,Nana Oye, the Welfare Committee* and virtually all the committees are up and doing. These committees are as effective as the main John Mahama 2024 Campaign.

My point is that no two groups or persons are even moving together. They are all moving in different directions. Some targeting fisher folks, others entering remotest of places and no go areas. I like what Opare Addo is doing with his youth wing. The introduction of the Green Army paraphernalia has somehow rebranded the youth wing and made it special. I can't describe what I saw at the National Youth Wing Secretariat when I went there recently. The sheer number of staff there was amazing.

I like what Hannah Bissiw is doing with the Women's Wing. I am told she is actually coming out with her own political show known as the VOW.

The Sammy Gyamfi led Communication wing is indescribable in terms of its work rate. Fantastic team! Once upon a time, the party going to scrap that department. Sammy has transformed the communication.

Comrades, everywhere JM goes, the reception has been absolutely phenomenal. His popularity has soared. He gets stampeded to stop and interact with with people unplanned on his campaign rounds. The love for him is massive. Let's put shoulders to the wheel and push hard for victory. Victory is beckoning. Thank you for reading. Thank you all!
