Somnia Osbrain Foundation (SOF), a Non-Governmental Organization based in the Ho West Constituency of the Volta Region, has officially partnered with GlobalGiving, the world’s largest online fundraising community for nonprofits, donors, and companies.
This milestone was achieved after SOF successfully completed GlobalGiving’s Pathway program and passed a comprehensive vetting process in September 2024.
This partnership marks a significant step forward for SOF, enhancing its ability to provide crucial support services to teenage mothers and marginalized communities. With the additional resources from GlobalGiving, SOF will be able to expand its vocational training programs, educational initiatives, and other essential services designed to uplift those in need.
Victoria Vrana, CEO of GlobalGiving, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I am excited to see how our partnership evolves and honored to be part of their journey to make the world a better place.”
Osborn Martin Gatugbe, Chief Director of SOF, emphasized that the collaboration reflects the foundation's dedication to creating brighter futures for vulnerable populations in Ghana. “We are thrilled to work with GlobalGiving and look forward to the greater impact we can achieve together,” he said.
Each year, thousands of organizations worldwide apply to become official partners of GlobalGiving by completing the Pathway program, which helps NGOs build their fundraising capacities. SOF’s success in the program signifies its readiness to make an even greater impact in its mission.
Rev. Dr. Daniel Agbeko, Chairperson of SOF’s Board of Directors, used the opportunity to encourage donors and supporters to rally behind the foundation’s cause. “This partnership with GlobalGiving reinforces our commitment to empowering vulnerable communities. Together, we are building a foundation of hope and opportunity for future generations,” he remarked.
Somnia Osbrain Foundation, formerly known as Osbrain Cares Foundation, is fully vetted as a trusted organization by GlobalGiving. The foundation, legally registered in Ghana, focuses on providing support for teenage mothers and marginalized communities in Bakpe, Ho West, and beyond, with a mission to create sustainable change for future generations.
