It is certainly about campaign finance
Intractable corruption without fine nuance
Politicos have hatchet women and strong men
with ways and means to Not Account
When they raid moneys & steal gold ounces
Which they mindlessly hide and secretly count
Marvels of home banks and run-away cash
Distributed to and from to gain massive Power
In a bankrupt Ghana wallowing in poverty's Ashes
During their countrywide stampeding trounce
When their coffers are busting full and over
Ambushed Special Prosecutor has no Clout
This is thrashy governance, not courtly Romance
There is NO economic magic wand
They deserve Nsawam jail all Around
The hungry masses reduced to losers
Collect as though incessant beggars
Disabled from standing on their two starving legs
They get treated as the class that is Lower
Even as they swoon to give away mighty power
for a synchronized chronic election allowance
As though this were their survival remittance
in a 4- yearly ritual without remedial stance
In cyclical vote-buying without any penance
The pathos is modular corruption collusion
By a Ghana in Democratic governance delusion
Causing project pollution
And social distortion
Leading to endless dissatisfaction
Rather than implement campaign finance laws
They draw swords
To settle economic scores
And leave development sores
Although they are sworn
Into office
They swarm like drones
In deceptive artifice
Financial scams and scandals get us all down
Except culprits do not drown when we frown
They know how to plunder and protect their own
Reaping harvests without seeds sewn
Oh, what a sight to behold
They hold citizens in slight as the story unfolds
They have no soul is what I'm told.
Will this scenario in election 2024 uphold?
To reignite secret corruption thresholds?
Has Ghana lost her Mind?
This is no courtly Romance, I remind
They deserve Nsawam jail Remand
Is surely the rightful command.
