Abedi-Anim, a former presenter at Net2 TV, has achieved a significant milestone by earning a Master of Science degree in Defence and International Politics from the prestigious Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College.

As a graduate of the Senior Command and Staff Course 45 in 2024, his journey is an inspiring testament to determination, resilience, and the pursuit of higher education.

In an interview, Abedi-Anim shared his experiences and challenges throughout his academic journey. Balancing work with rigorous studies, he reflected on the obstacles he faced and the perseverance required to overcome them.

Despite societal perceptions and personal hurdles, he emphasized the importance of continuing education, stating, "It's never too late to start or continue pursuing knowledge."

His motivation for pursuing a master's degree later in life is rooted in setting an example for his children. Abedi-Anim believes that a first degree is not enough in today's world, and he wants to demonstrate to his family the value of continued education.

"The inspiration to me is for my kids to know that just having a first degree is not enough. If I, as your old dad, can do my master's and beyond, you should have at least a master's," he explained.

Abedi-Anim also addressed the mindset of the younger generation, who often view academia as less lucrative compared to other pursuits. He urged the youth to reconsider this perspective and see education as essential for managing wealth and making informed decisions. "The youth today are not very interested in pursuing academia because it sounds like there's not much money in there for them. But trust me, you need a piece of education to survive," he encouraged.

Looking back on his achievements, Abedi-Anim expressed pride in graduating with good grades despite the challenges. He hopes his story will inspire others, regardless of their age or current situation, to stay motivated and pursue their educational goals. "Don't get discouraged if you are there; just be encouraged no matter where you are, you can start," he advised.
