NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has received reviews from some journalists after his first major media encounter ahead of this year's elections on December 7.

In a Facebook post on Monday, July 8, renowned journalist Paa Kwesi Schandorf praised Mahama's performance, saying "I fell in love with his eloquence all over again."

Schandorf, who attended the event at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra, said "the organisation was superb" and commended the moderators, Stan Dogbe, Joyce Bawah and National Communications Officer of the NDC Sammy Gyamfi.

"Honestly, I fell in love with his eloquence all over again and though good speeches may not build a nation, it's great to hear a leader WHO KNOWS HIS STUFF!" wrote Schandorf.

He graded Mahama's show a "truly 99/100", expressing his hope for more such encounters from the former president as well as his opponent Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, flagbearer of the NPP.

In his remarks to the packed room of journalists on Sunday night, Mahama outlined his vision and plans if elected including resetting the economy, fighting corruption, developing agriculture and creating jobs with his 24hour economy proposal.

He promised to reduce the size of government to 60 Ministers and deputies and establish an independent office to scrutinize all public procurements above $5 million.

Mahama also pledged one million digital jobs and coding professionals as well as universal internet access.

On agriculture, the former president spoke of establishing specialized industrial zones in all regions and supporting farmers with new centers and cooperatives.

He slammed the Akufo-Addo government for mismanaging the economy and promised to "turn the tide."

Referring to John Mahama as a NPP ( in your report) flagbearer is a unpardonable mistake
