In the wake of accommodation challenges faced by the ordinary citizen, one of our topmost affordable housing projects, the Saglemi affordable housing project has been left to rot, neglected by successive governments, amidst ongoing accommodation challenges faced by the ordinary citizens.

In short, successive governments have turned a blind eye to it.

Inasmuch as there are corruption-related activities surrounding the aforementioned projects, citing embezzlement of funds by some former public officers of the erstwhile John Mahama-led government, I think the current government should as a matter of urgency complete half of these housing units while those charged for causing financial loss to the state, pertaining to the Saglemi housing projects face prosecution.

The dumbfounding and - also unfortunate incident about this housing projects brouhaha is that, the contractor who was in charge of the affordable housing projects was found dead at this residence somewhere October, 2023.

The fact that I support the government in prosecuting public officials who were involved in embezzling state funds meant for housing projects hence causing financial loss to the state, it should as soon as possible complete some the housing units to solve accommodation challenges and also provide accommodation for the ordinary citizens.

This will help improve citizens’ welfare.

It is a shameful thing that pride-driven ignorance could allow such a thing to occur in Ghana. These are not NDC projects; they were constructed for Ghanaians. Even though they shamefully couldn't even construct anything on their own. After accruing GH658.6 billion in debt, without accountability, the ignorant and tribal bigots become enraged when you write that the NPP is the world's most useless government.
