Ghana Decides On Hypocrisy 2024

Ghana Decides On Hypocrisy 2024

Politics around the globe is today facing a backlash that undermines the concept of democracy because some men and women in positions of power tend to think life as we all know it only evolves around them .

The year Donald Trump took office was when birth was given to the already existing cracks in democracy, when he used his office to attack what we all thought was credible media , by call them FAKE NEWS. The almighty CNN was tossed right into the garbage by the Trump Administration and that make people around the world begin to loose respect for that media house.

Fast forward to 2024, Ghana is also witnessing its fair share of Media disintegration, thanks to the disinformation, and blunted lack of credible journalism by the various media houses across country. The fact that no media house in Ghana since 2017 has been able to pick a story and run it down to solution for the average Ghanaian to become well informed about the said story , or equipped the Ghanaian with real time knowledge of government activities that should be enhancing lives and not destroying lives like Ghanaians have witness over the past couple of months .

In the past 7yrs , it has become common knowledge that most journalists in the country today , would rather lie to the people for a loaf of bread than inform the people how they can increase production for more loaves of bread , and this phenomenon is fueled by politicians paying journalist NOT to talk about issues that are deemed detrimental to the image of the government . Ghana has witness a rise in attacks on journalists by Political Party operatives like never before seen on the public information space. And this is attributed to Journalists lack of credible accountability, as in being able to follow a story till its resolute position where the law of the land is implemented and thereby creating a deterrent to others.

So on Dec 7th 2024, Ghanaians go to poll to decide who leads them , when Journalists across the media landscape have not been able to hold any politician accountable to anything they say so the Ghanaian today is pregnant with the hypocrisy of lies that Journalists have cultivated in everyone . People know the truth but would still believe the lie just because the gatekeepers of the information highway propagate the same lies . Ghana today is worse off, and whoever wins the 2024 elections has a heavy task ahead to try to change our mentality from the path of hypocrisy to one of truth and accountability, It is said that the ruling party with its slogan “It is possible “ can not bring the needed change when it is entrenched in the template that misleads its own people , and the world at large with make believe statements, that when verified has no aota of truth to them, like refusing to admit that DUMSOR is here with us, or that Reviewing Free SHS doesn’t mean cancellation of the policy, or that it has failed the people of Ghana by presiding over the highest unemployment/cost of living than any government in the history of Ghana and the list goes on and on.

Ghanaian youth today would like to see the abolishment of all churches , since their religious platforms that was to rebuke wrong doing and uphold standards of integrity have all been reduced to political fields with players that peddle in lies and blatant untruths while supposed men of God applaud the hypocrisy.

God help Ghana and all its people through these hard times. Let’s all vote wisely for many of us in the diaspora believe that change IS POSSIBLE, and that IT IS POSSIBLE for Ghanaians to stand up against the hypocrisy and lies.
