Why Should Bawumia Be Elected President If Not Out Of Greed Or Ignorance?

In my opinion, anyone who supports Bawumia, an incompetent politician who is only good at telling lies about everything, including jobs that don’t exist, and more importantly, who lied during Ramadan, just wants him to become president to avoid going hungry with their families. After all, he has never been a good vice president, let alone a president; therefore, becoming president makes no sense for someone who has destroyed the country's infrastructure and economy through numerous financial crimes. Ernest Owusu-Bempah, the so-called Deputy Communication Director of the NPP, is aware, like all NPP politicians, that his party's future is in jeopardy and that its chances of winning in 2024 are extremely poor. As a result, anyone who opposes Bawumia, the chronic liar, risks being a target of hate. I want to advise Owusu-Bembah that if he doesn’t want anyone to criticize Bawumia, then he refrain from lying because Ghanaians are sick and tired and, more importantly, not interested in a liar as president.

Like Owusu-Bempah, Kofi Bentil's endorsement of Bawumia for president is a means to provide for his family, as any honorable and moral politician would not support Bawumia for president. We have all witnessed the devastation of Ghana caused by Akufo Addo and his vice president, which has resulted in the collapse of the country's economy, businesses, and foreign and local investments. Therefore, why should Bawumia be elected president, if not out of greed or ignorance?

Everyone has shortcomings in life; nobody is flawless; however, when Bawumia continues to lie without feeling guilty, ashamed, or sorry for it, it is a very severe matter. Based on the adage that "there is a woman behind every successful man," I think Samira, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia's wife, has contributed significantly to Ghana's biggest liar and manipulator of the country's most vulnerable citizens, whom he has no interest in improving their circumstances in life.

Psychiatrists and psychologists have frequently linked homes to the root of many of the illnesses we face today. Thus, it's possible that Bawumia picked up the tendency of lying from his parents or relatives, or that he wasn't properly trained from an early age. All agree that the vice president is a shameless, unrelenting liar, regardless of whether it is a genetic trait or an acquired bad habit, this is something I can’t explain, but what I can say is that Ghanaians are sick and tired of it.

I don't think it's necessary to list all the financial crimes of Bawumia, things he said about Mahama, and broken promises anymore because Ghanaians already know them all. However, I do know that if Bawumia had been in any developed country, he would have been in prison by now. We shouldn't say that just because Ghana is an African country, we should put up with things that the developed world wouldn't tolerate, especially if we want to grow as a nation.

All of the NPP politicians, including the majority of the directors Akufo Addo has appointed, want Bawumia to be president because they fear that when Mahama takes office, the public will learn of the financial crimes committed, which will lead to their arrest and possible prosecution. Quite frankly, if the manipulation to elect Bawumia as president is not stopped, it will be the greatest mistake and the downfall of the country. Rigging, I constantly say, since Bawumia has no chance of getting actual votes.

The NPP is aware of this, which is one of the reasons they have tried everything to damage John Mahama's reputation by bringing up the Airbus scandal and issues about the death of Atta-Mills, but sadly, not this time. They are unable to sell their foolishness to the more astute Ghanaians, and as a result, their plans are failing miserably, giving them more nightmares than joy. However, the calamity that has fallen on our nation that Ghanaians have seen is just the tip of the iceberg; the real ones are still coming.

Mahama did not leave Ghana in such a dreadful state, in fact, following accusations of corruption and incompetence and demands for his resignation. Thus, why can't the NPP politicians and supporters, who compelled Mahama to resign and caused his defeat in the 2016 elections, do the same to Bawumia, who has ruined the economy, destroyed the youth’s future, and, more importantly, is corrupt yet wants to run for president? If Ghana's law is genuine, Akufo Addo, Ken Ofori-Atta, and Bawumia ought to have been behind bars.

Since the NPP government, including the vice president, Bawumia, has failed to advance the interests of the people, how intelligent are you to endorse such a person to be president? A politician should, in reality, be a representative of the will of the people and should protect their interests as well as the interests of society and the public good, but not Bawumia. When Akufo Addo failed his first four years, the NPP sang "Four more years for Nana," but their new song today is "Bawumia Will Save Ghana.”

Experience is the best teacher; the destruction the NPP has caused in Ghana is enough, and, therefore, the suffering Ghanaians, including the thousands of unemployed youth, will not rely on the theme “Bawumia will save Ghana,” because once he has failed as vice president, he can’t fulfill his duties as president.
