The outgoing Member of Parliament for Ho Central Constituency Hon. Benjamin Kpodo is confident the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Ho Central Constituency Mr. Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu will retain for the National Democratic Congress.
The three-term MP Hon. Kpodo who refused to seek re-election believes it will be a done deal for his possible successor in the 2024 election.
"As the sitting MP, I have voluntarily decided not to contest again. The Constituency, following the Party's dmocratic processes, elected a young man to bear our flag. He is in the person of Mr. Edem Richmond Kofi Kpotosu. He's a Deputy Director of the VR Ghana Education Service. It's a done deal for him. Your Excellency, you can be assured that in Kpotosu you already have one of the expected minimum of 170 Members of Parliament in 2025. I hereby present him to you and the Party for any further introductions," he stated.
Hon. Kpodo in a welcome address at former President John Mahama's Building Ghana Tour campaign in the Volta Region said they have gone to the communities and engaged the chiefs and people who have expressed their support for the NDC.
"There are some noises coming from our opponents but "aha enye Hohoe". There are 21 Paramountcies in the constituency, so far we've gone round about half of these, we'll conclude the first round of the tour before the end of January," he stated.
Hon. Kpodo mentioned the Ho Barracks-Kpenõe-Takla-Hodzo-Tokokoe road as one of the major projects that has been abandoned by this government in the constituency.
He added Ziavi-Anfoeta road, asphalting of Ho Township roads project and the expansion to Ho Technical University and the University of Health and Allied Sciences are projects started by the Mahama administration but have been abandoned since 2016.
However the NDC Parliamentary candidate Hon. Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu is confident the NDC in the Ho Central Constituency will win the December 7 election to complete all abandoned projects.
"Let's not forget the lessons that this confused NPP government has taught us. Let's honor the visions of the NDC to continue to build upon the foundation of progress by the former President," Mr. Kpotosu stated.
