Private Legal practitioner Maurice Ampaw has said Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia deserves to be the President of Ghana.
Maurice Ampaw contends that Ghana's economy needs serious attention from experts and not novices who will toil with the lives of poor Ghanaians.
The private legal practitioner argued that Vice President Dr. Bawumia's administration would benefit the country as the first person from the Islamic religion to ascend to the high office.
Speaking in an interview with Happy FM, Maurice Ampaw said foreign investments from Arab and other Islamic countries, particularly Saudi Arabia, will be drawn to the country.
“If Bawumia wins, it is in line with what God has said. For the first time, we are going to get a Muslim President and Saudi Arabia and the Islamic community would be investing hugely in this country to support our economy. That is what we need now.
“I’m in for a Muslim becoming a President. Ghana is ready for this and Insha Allah, we will get it,” Maurice Ampaw stated.
In a related interview, the private legal practitioner said Kennedy Agyapong, the member of parliament for Assin Central, is not fit for president.
Maurice Ampaw noted that there would be disaster in Ghana if Kennedy Agyapong is President.
According to him, he would fly out of the country as he was not ready to suffer under the leadership of Kennedy Agyapong.

Mr. Ampaw, do you want to tell Ghanaians that those Islamic countries are waiting for Bawumia to become president before they invest in Ghana after being vice president for seven years? You've begun acting childish because you hate Kennedy Agyapong. Kennedy Agyapong is the least qualified candidate to rule Ghana, but Bawumia is also not particularly noteworthy, both Bawumia and Agyapong are politicians from this destructive government.
