The true black man is, in fact, a red man!

The true black man is, in fact, a red man!

Ghana is the world's second-largest (approx.30% of market share) exporter of cocoa. It is known as the champion in producing the best cocoa beans in the world. Swiss gigantic chocolate manufacturer Lindt&Spruengli sources most of its cocoa from Ghana. The "Golden Tree" as cocoa trees are often referred to, is Ghana's real identity for all times, far ahead of its vast gold reserves.

Ghana's first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, was well aware of this fact. To be seen in the industry as a qualified country dealing eye-to-eye with the Big Six in the market and harvesting the full potential of cocoa from beans to chocolate bars, he mandated in 1965 Joachim Burmeister from Hamburg-Othmarschen, Germany, Europe's expert No 1 of blessed memories to establish for him in Tema CPC Cocoa Processing Company Ltd. As a party policy CPC Ltd never faced the challenges of an entrepreneur driven entity. It produces chocolate products that are not competitive in the international markets. Even Ghanaians are tired of the same old portfolios.

Originally CPC Ltd employed at peak times 700 workers. Now 200 workers barely have a poor regular income. The company was once listed on Ghana Stock Exchange. Annually Ghana subsidizes CPC Ltd with $ 12-15 Mio.. Too much sugar content makes the chocolate bars marketable in the open markets and at street lights.

The EU warned Ghana to be boycotted as too many chemicals were detected in the cocoa beans. Galamsey, illegal gold mining, destroys many cocoa farms with mercury found in the surrounding water bodies. Cocobord, mandated to manage this national sector, has no farms and no direct control of the planting process yet still sees chemicals, not organic farming, as the future of Ghana's 800.000 petty cocoa farmers.

Right before the eyes of Ghanaians and the entire world, Ghana currently destroys the future of future generations. Politicians and traditional rulers often benefit from illegal mining Galamsey more than cocoa farming. They have their family and friends' interests at heart, not the future of the nation.

Profit traditionally in this sector comes from trading and manufacturing, not growing cocoa beans. Good ideas can help Ghana to stand proud as the country producing the best chocolate in the world, but the political parties of Ghana, all of them, allow the white man to exploit the nation's treasure and mock them, not being able to harvest the full potential of the God-given blessings. In fact, when good ideas are presented to them, they mock such persons and even try to steal their funds and ideas (an attempt happened to me via the nephew Thomas Akwasi Owusu-Afriye of the Otumfo Osei Tutu II).

Affected and wise people of the nation with sound minds and vision understand the trap and danger Ghana is in as we speak. You recognize them easily by the red color in their dark brown/black faces.

Which political party manifesto inspires hope?
