He is desperately kicking and screaming for the Candidate-General John “Gnassingbe” Dramani Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) to get back to Jubilee House, so that he would, once again, be dispatched to Riyadh as Ghana’s Chief Diplomat, with a glowingly avaricious eye to, once again, squirrel the lavish furnishings of the Ghana Embassy in Saudi Arabia back to his motherland of Egypt, as he was widely reported by the media to have done in the wake of the seismic trouncing of his Chief Patron in the December 2016 Presidential Election. Which is why he has decided to gratuitously pick an unprovoked fight with the Chairperson of Ghana’s Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), to wit, Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa, whose married last name Mr. Said Sinare cannot even correctly spell.
Now, couple the preceding with the fact that this half-Egyptian mothered vitriolic critic was one of the pathologically self-infatuated egomaniacs who sided with the then President John “Akonfem-Kanazoe Ford Expedition Payola Ouagadougou” Dramani Mahama, that a Fee-Free Senior High School System stood the unsavory chance of irreparably downgrading the quality of Ghana’s public school system, and matters begin to get even more pathetic vis-à-vis the desperation of these SADA Gravy-Train Drivers and Conductors for power. You see, the grim reality, as authoritatively attested by the globally renowned United Nations-sponsored, Paris, France-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), is that Ghana’s public education system, under the tandem tenures of the late President John Evans “Atta-Woyome” Mills and John “Brazil 2014 World Cup Liquid-Cash Smuggling” Dramani Mahama, was one of the very worst of its kind in our entire universe (See “Jean Mensa-Led EC Colluding with NPP to Undermine Democracy – Alhaji Said Sinare Alleges” Modernghana.com 6/8/23).
You see, Dear Reader, where his own mother was born and raised, that is, in the so-called United Arab Republic of Egypt, there is absolutely no semblance of democracy, let alone the practice of the Real McCoy. There has never been a democratic political culture there and, very likely, there is not apt to be the salutary establishment of any civilized democratic culture there anytime soon. So, it is rather ludicrous for Mr. Sinare to cavalierly presume to lecture the finest legal light and the most professionally qualified and efficient Ghanaian citizen to manage the high-tension affairs of the Independent Electoral Commission which, by the way, only became “Independent” upon the accession of Mrs. Mensa to the Chairpersonship of this august institutional establishment.
In Egypt, where his mother was born and raised, what passes for democracy is pure and raw Social Darwinism, whereby heavily armed soldiers, comfortably salaried by taxpayers, pick up guns to shoot their way to power and then dictate law and order to the overwhelming majority of the people, who have absolutely no right, whatsoever, to help determine how their own country is managed. In Ghana, this form of Animal-Farm Governance would be called “Hostageocracy.” Now, this was where at the end of his tenure and in the wake of the crushing defeat of then President Mahama, Mr. Sinare was widely alleged by the media to have stolen and shipped some taxpayer-funded and State-owned furnishings for his personal use. This kind of opportunistic barbarian ought not to be allowed to be talking down to his moral and intellectual superiors, least of all, a bona fide Ghanaian woman of substance like Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa.
Now, let this so-called former National Vice-Chairman of the country’s main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), tell the rest of us bona fide members of the Global Ghanaian Community (GGC), how many past or former Chairpersons of the Electoral Commission who ran or managed the affairs of the most highly politically charged and sensitive institutional establishment with even half of the acumen, professional expertise and efficiency of the current Akufo-Addo-appointed Chairperson of the Independent Electoral Commission, and then we can have a serious debate on Fourth Republican Ghanaian Democracy. You see, shamelessly naked and wicked men like Mr. Sinare must first learn to put on a loincloth before strutting up the dais of our Public Square to deliriously lecture the rest of us on or about democracy and democratic integrity.
Indeed, he would be much better off telling all registered and eligible Ghanaian voters and citizens precisely what he has done to upgrade or significantly improve the lives of our beloved nation’s socioeconomic underclass, as the proud and pontifical Founder of Zongos for the NDC which, somehow, makes Alhaji Sinare more concerned about the statutory and the institutional integrity of our democratic culture in ways that cannot be said of President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and, in particular, Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa. As well, just precisely what does he mean, when Mr. Sinare so insolently accuses the entire administrative staff of the Independent Electoral Commission of “smuggling one Charles Opoku,” a New Patriotic Party-sponsored Candidate, to gun for the judicially vacated Assin-North Parliamentary Seat?
In short, if this brazen political bully has any forensically tractive evidence to back up his downright spurious accusation, by all means, let Mr. Sinare head for the chamber of any of the legitimately constituted courts of the land and stop blowing hot air and unnecessarily disturbing our sacred peace and quiet.
