Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a former Finance Minister has come under heavy criticism following his last-minute withdrawal from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential primaries.

Duffuor opted out of the race a day before the elections, citing errors in the voter register which he claimed were not resolved despite the assurances from the party.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, May 12, Duffuor stated, "I have been left with no choice but to withdraw from the presidential [candidate] election as I cannot contest in an election which is blatantly fraught with irregularities."

He expressed his concern that the irregularities had the potential to mar the elections.

However, his decision to withdraw has not been well-received by some members of the public.

Samuel Bryan Buabeng, a presidential staffer, took to social media to criticize Duffuor, calling him a "coward."

Buabeng insinuated that Duffuor chose to step down because he knew he would lose the race miserably.

The NDC is set to hold its primaries on May 13 to select candidates for the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Over 356, 000 delegates are expected to cast their votes across the country.

With Dr. Duffuor out, the presidential candidate race is now between a former Kumasi Mayor Kojo Bonsu and former President John Dramani Mahama.

This does not, however, imply that he is a coward. Notably Akufo Addo, cares about nothing, one of the reasons he has failed and more importantly, he is unaware that he has eliminated all of his family's political oppor...
