
President Kuffour has nominated Osei Asibey Antwi for the position of Deputy Ashanti regional minister.
Mr Osei Asibey is the first Vice chairman of the ruling New Patriotic in the Ashanti region and is said to be very influential in the region.
The Speaker of Parliament Ebenezer Sakyi Hughes disclosed his nomination in parliament today. Parliament's Appointments Committee is set to consider the nomination.
Mr Osei Asibey is the second nominee for the post.
The President's earlier nominee, Lawrence Akwasi Prempeh was disqualified after he admitted he held dual citizenship.
