Why YouTube Should NOT Be Your Main Source of Information For Visiting or Moving To Africa.

The following article is an excerpt from my book “The 10 Repatriation Commandments” and “The 10 Repatriation Commandments Master Class” video course. Over the next few articles, I will address several avenues people use to gather their mort intimate information regarding visiting or moving to Africa. The three avenues of research I will address in the next 3 articles are YouTube, Media Bias and Testimonials.

Why YouTube is Not Providing the Best Information For Your Repatriation to The Mother Land

Back in 2021 After months of hard work and determination, I finally reached the much-coveted YouTube monetization status. Upon sharing the news of my newly monetized status with a colleague, a successful YouTuber in their own right. This YouTuber, who regularly receives views approaching 100,000, and someone highly influential in the repatriation to African movement, shared with me a valuable lesson concerning YouTube. The wise YouTuber said to me, “It’s ok to speak about your passion on occasion but ultimately, you have to give the people what they want”. Next, they began to share stories about other YouTubers who make serious money on the platform sharing information about moving to Africa, their topics range from real estate, dating to buying a car. The YouTuber shared that they all have succumbed to creating videos that they know YouTube will definitely share and even more interesting (stay with me) they understand that YouTube only shares what people want to know.

After our conversation, my mind began to race, and one of the first things that came to my mind is a common quote. You don’t know what you don’t know”. How can I provide critical information without the right questions being asked by the client (You)? How can I give “game”, tips, strategies, and critical advice that potential repatriates do not know exist? If YouTube only rewards searched keywords, and phrases? How can I help people have a successful repatriation when the algorithm only rewards YouTubers who entertain consumers (viewers) not the ones who truly gives them the knowledge they need to survive and thrive?

My answer to this dilemma is my book “The 10 Repatriation Commandments” and “The 10 Repatriation Commandments Master Class”. By this time, you should already have something to think about. Please understand, YouTube is extremely helpful, but there are critical ideas, mind states and expectations that cant be clicked baited to help you understand. You have to seek people who have passion about true harmony on the continent and want Black Americans and diaporians to have a successful homecoming. These people may or may not have a 100k followers, but its your job to find the YouTubers or Bloggers who speak to your soul and not feeding you dreams, or a newer trend, those who love to feed you nightmares.
