Western North Region: Katakyie Kwasi Bumankamah II gets 100% votes in Council of State elections

The Paramount Chief of Sefwi-Wiawso traditional council, Katakyie Kwasi Bumankamah II has won the slot to be a Council of State representative of the Western North Region.

He polled all the18 votes to win the elections on Friday, February 12 at the Western North Regional Coordinating Council which was supervised by the Electoral Commission.

Before the elections, one of the aspirants Mr. Christopher Addea withdrew before the commencement of the polls.

He beats two other contenders to win the elections in accordance with Paragraph (C) of Clause 2 of Article 89 of the 1992 Constitution.

Katakyie Kwasi Bumankamah II who is a very development-oriented Paramount chief in the past has brought total peace and unity among all the chiefs within the Sefwi Wiawso traditional council.

He has also assisted his people in the area of education, health, sanitation, employment and continues to receive praise for promoting agriculture in the Sefwi Wiawso traditional area.

Katakyie Kwasi Bumankamah II speaking after the election thanked the assembly.

He also thanked the high-ranking members in the region such as the president of the national house of chiefs, former regional ministers and regional minister-designate, MP, and all natives from the Western North (the various traditional areas).

He promised not to disappoint them Assembly members.
