My victory is by Allah, chiefs and people of Binduri — MP-elect

The Member of Parliament-elect for Binduri, Hon. Abdulai Abanga said he has dedicated his victory to Allah, chiefs and people of Binduri in the Upper East Region.

He noted that the people of Binduri bought his ideas and the policies of the ruling New Patriotic Party government.

The Chartered Accountant by profession who was speaking in an interview with Modern Ghana News mentioned the construction of boreholes, the introduction of school feeding, free SHS, one village one dam among others.

Mr. Abanga admitted that some communities in the constituency are still not having access to potable drinking water and had to be drinking from hand-dug wells.

He added that rural electrification has not covered most communities including roads, bridges among others.

He said with the power vested in him by the people of Binduri, he will use his lobbying skills to bring more development to his constituency.

Abdulai Abanga was a Municipal Chief Executive under former President John Akyegum Kufour in 2008.

He presided over areas such as Pusiga, Binduri and Bawku municipality as the municipal capital.

Hon. Abanga contested the 2020 parliamentary election with Hon. Robert baba Kuganab-lem the outgoing NDC Member of Parliament and one independent candidate.

The Binduri is the only seat of the 15 constituencies the NPP won in the just ended 2020 elections in the Region.
